5 New Budget Airlines Flying From Dubai This Winter

Dubai’s winter travel season is in full swing, with passenger traffic expected to reach record levels over the coming months. To meet growing demand and give travellers more affordable options, Dubai Airports has welcomed several new routes operated by low-cost and budget airlines.

These new services operate from both Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), expanding travel choices to Europe, Central Asia, and South Asia during the peak winter period.

Alongside these budget additions, full-service airlines are also boosting capacity, with Virgin Atlantic deploying the A350-1000 on its Dubai route and British Airways reinstating A380 services to London Heathrow.

Here are five new budget airlines and routes travellers can fly with from Dubai this winter.

Austrian Airlines

Austrian Airlines has launched direct flights between Dubai and Vienna, operating five times per week. Return fares start from approximately AED 1,345, making it an attractive option for travellers heading to Central Europe.

To keep fares competitive, the airline is operating the route using an A320neo aircraft rather than a long-haul jet. Flights are scheduled to run until the end of March 2026 as part of a seasonal trial.

Passengers can also take advantage of a special Dubai Deal, available across economy light, economy classic, and European business class.

Eurowings

German low-cost carrier Eurowings has expanded its Dubai network for the winter travel rush. The airline now operates daily flights between Dubai International Airport and Stuttgart.

In addition, Eurowings flies three times per week between Düsseldorf and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). Increased frequencies are also available on routes to Berlin, Cologne, and Hannover.

Selected services, including the Berlin route, feature the airline’s premium business class option.

FlyArystan

Kazakh low-cost airline FlyArystan has launched a new route between Dubai International Airport and Aktau, a major city on the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea.

Aktau is popular with leisure travellers, hikers, beach visitors, and business passengers. During peak travel periods, including December 16 to January 6 and the spring holiday season from March 10 to 24, the airline operates two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Outside peak periods, the service runs once weekly on Saturdays.

Fly Jinnah

Pakistan’s low-cost airline Fly Jinnah has introduced a twice-weekly service between Dubai International Airport and Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Flights operate every Wednesday and Sunday, offering an affordable travel option for Dubai’s large Pakistani expatriate community. Services are operated using Airbus A320 aircraft.

Departures leave Dubai at 11pm GST, arriving in Lahore at approximately 3am local time.

Varesh Airlines

Iranian low-cost carrier Varesh Airlines has launched a new twice-weekly route from Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) to Sari, a city in northern Iran and the former capital of Mazandaran province.

Flights operate on Tuesdays and Fridays and are available to book online. The route adds another affordable regional option for travellers flying from Dubai during the winter season.

More Low-Cost Options for Winter Travel

With demand surging during the winter months, these new budget airline routes provide travellers with more flexibility, competitive fares, and access to emerging destinations from Dubai. Passengers are advised to check airline schedules, baggage allowances, and airport terminals before booking.
