Dubai Airport Flights Suspended: What Travellers Need to Know

Dubai Airport Services Update

Passengers travelling through Dubai International Airport can currently access the following services:

  • Lounges: Ahlan Lounge lounges are operational at Concourse A, B and C. Plaza Premium Lounge and Marhaba Lounge are also open and welcoming passengers.
  • Meet & Assist: Ahlan Meet & Assist services are available at all terminals.
  • Shower Facilities: Shower facilities are available at Concourse A and can be booked. For passengers visiting the Ahlan Lounge at Concourse A, the shower facility is complimentary with lounge access.
  • Health Club: The DXB Health Club (gym, pool, jacuzzi and steam room) located in Concourse B remains closed.
  • Salon: Timeless Salon located in Concourse A is open.
  • Dubai International Hotel: Dubai International Hotel continues to operate normally for transit passengers.

Emirates Airlines

Emirates airline has resumed limited flight operations on 16 March 2026 after a temporary suspension earlier today.Some flights remain cancelled. Passengers should check their flight status before heading to Dubai International Airport and travel only with a confirmed booking.


Air India

Air India and Air India Express have significantly reduced operations to Dubai on March 15, following instructions from UAE airport authorities. Passengers on cancelled flights may rebook for a future date at no additional cost or request a full refund.
Both airlines will operate only one Delhi–Dubai round trip each, subject to slot availability and prevailing conditions. All other planned or ad-hoc flights to and from Dubai are cancelled.

flydubai

flydubai is operating a reduced flight schedule across its network. Passengers booked between 28 February and 31 March can rebook to the same destination within 30 days of the original travel date without penalty. Connections through Dubai will only be allowed if the connecting flight is operating.

Booking and refund options:

  • Book or manage flights via flydubai.com, the mobile app, travel agents, or the Contact Centre.
  • Ensure contact details are up to date, and check flight status before travelling.

Safety advisory: The airline emphasises that passenger and crew safety remain the highest priority.

IndiGo

IndiGo has suspended flights to Doha, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah until March 28 due to regional disruptions, according to news agency Reuters.

Air France

Air France continues to monitor the situation across the region in real time and has extended its suspension of flights to and from Dubai.

All flights between Paris and Dubai remain suspended until Thursday, March 12 inclusive. This also means that the scheduled return flight departing Dubai on Friday, March 13 has been cancelled.

Passengers affected by these cancellations have been notified directly by the airline. Customers are also allowed to postpone or cancel their trip free of charge, whether their flight has been cancelled or not.

Air Arabia

Air Arabia is operating limited services from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah to select destinations, with flights operating until March 22. Destinations include Vienna, Chittagong, Dhaka, Cairo, Athens, Milan-Bergamo, Amman, Nairobi, Islamabad, Karachi, Bangkok, among others.

Booking and refund options:

  • Passengers whose flights were cancelled may choose one free date change within 30 days, a full credit voucher, or a full refund.
  • Bookings can be managed through the Air Arabia website, app, or travel agents.

Safety advisory: Passengers should ensure contact details are up to date, check flight status before travelling, and rely only on official airline channels for updates. The airline stresses that passenger and crew safety remain the top priority.

British Airways

British Airways confirmed on Tuesday, March 10 that it has suspended all operations to the UAE and reduced its flight schedules across the region.

All flights to Dubai International Airport, as well as Amman, Bahrain, Doha and Tel Aviv, have been cancelled until the end of March. The airline has not yet announced a confirmed date for the resumption of services.

Flights to Abu Dhabi have also been cancelled until later this year.

British Airways has added that limited seats remain on repatriation flights from Muscat to London Heathrow on March 11 and March 12 for customers with existing bookings.

China Southern Airlines

China Southern Airlines announced on Saturday, March 7 that it would resume selected routes between China and Dubai.

Flights from Guangzhou and Shenzhen to Dubai are operating between March 8 and March 11.

Passengers are advised to check the airline’s official website for the latest flight information before departure, as schedules, aircraft types and ticketing details may change based on real-time updates.

KLM

Dutch airline KLM is also issuing regular updates regarding its regional operations.

The airline has confirmed that it will not operate flights to or from Dubai until Saturday, March 28.

Passengers whose flights have been cancelled will be notified and can either rebook their tickets free of charge or request a refund through the My Trip section on the airline’s website.

Lufthansa

German airline group Lufthansa has also cancelled scheduled flights to and from Dubai until Sunday, March 15.

The airline has warned that the situation remains dynamic and flight schedules may change at short notice.

Passengers holding Lufthansa Group tickets to Dubai issued on or before March 1, 2026, for travel between March 16 and March 26 may request a refund if their flights have not yet been cancelled.

Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways continues to be affected by the closure of Qatari airspace by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.

The airline has resumed a limited schedule to assist affected travellers, although full commercial operations have not yet resumed. Dubai is currently not included in the airline’s operating schedule.

Passengers with confirmed bookings for travel between February 28 and March 22, 2026 are eligible for two complimentary date changes within 14 days of their original travel date or a refund of the unused ticket value.

Philippine Airlines

Philippine Airlines has announced the temporary suspension of several routes.

Its PR658 and PR659 Manila-Dubai-Manila services will be suspended between Wednesday, March 11 and Sunday, March 15.

Affected passengers may choose to rebook their flights or request a refund through the options available on the airline’s website.

Turkish Airlines

Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, has announced that all flights from Turkey to Dubai have been cancelled until the end of Friday, March 13.

The suspension also affects flights operated by AJet, Pegasus and SunExpress.

Passengers who booked tickets before February 28 for travel between February 28 and March 31 can request a refund, change their reservation free of charge or extend their ticket validity until May 10.

United Airlines

United Airlines has introduced several flexible options for travellers affected by the disruption.

Passengers who purchased tickets on or before February 28 for travel between March 8 and March 31 can reschedule their trips without paying change fees or fare differences for travel within the same period.

For new travel dates after March 31, change fees will still be waived, although fare differences may apply.

Passengers who cancel or choose not to travel are eligible to request a full refund.
