Passengers arriving at Dubai International Airport were pleasantly surprised with a special stamp on their passports, marking the 15th anniversary of the Dubai Metro. In celebration of this milestone, 10,000 Nol cards were distributed to travelers at terminals 1 and 3.
This initiative, led by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), underscores the vital role the Dubai Metro plays in the city’s transportation system. It enhances the travel experience and supports sustainable urban mobility while contributing to the development of Dubai’s transport infrastructure.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, emphasized the significance of this celebration, recognizing the metro as a symbol of Dubai’s continuous progress in the transport sector. He noted that the Dubai Metro has become an integral part of the city’s identity, providing a modern and sustainable transportation option for both residents and visitors.
The distribution of Nol cards facilitates fast and easy travel between the airport and various destinations across the city, furthering Dubai’s vision of offering seamless, modern, and environmentally friendly transport solutions. With metro stations conveniently located within the airport terminals, travelers enjoy a smooth and efficient journey from the airport to other key locations in Dubai.
