In the first seven months of 2024, Dubai received 10.62 million international tourists, marking an 8% increase from the same period last year. This rise in tourism highlights the city’s ongoing appeal and its successful strategies for attracting visitors.
According to the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, monthly visitor statistics show consistent interest: 1.77 million in January, 1.9 million in February, 1.51 million in March, 1.5 million in April, 1.44 million in May, 1.19 million in June, and 1.31 million in July.
Western European countries led the influx with approximately 2.086 million visitors, accounting for 20% of the total. South Asia followed closely with 1.848 million tourists, representing 17% of the total. GCC countries contributed 1.537 million visitors, making up 14% of the total, while the Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe also contributed 14%, totaling 1.505 million visitors.
The MENA region was the fifth-largest source of tourists, contributing 1.232 million visitors, or 12% of the total. Northeast and Southeast Asia accounted for 10% with roughly 1.028 million visitors. These figures underscore Dubai’s status as a leading global tourist destination.
