Emirates is expanding its restaurant-above-the-clouds experience, offering business class passengers from Germany the option to pre-order gourmet meals. Initially introduced on routes from Hamburg, the service is now available from Frankfurt (FRA), Munich (MUC), and Dusseldorf (DUS).
Passengers can select from a variety of gourmet dishes, including vegan options, up to 24 hours before departure via the Emirates app or website. This new dining experience enhances the inflight service and helps reduce food waste by optimizing meal loading based on customer preferences.
Some standout menu items include:
- Grilled veal chop with green pepper sauce
- Roasted chicken with thyme and garlic
- Fish tahta with pan-seared grouper in Emirati spices
- Roasted cauliflower with ancient grains (vegan)
The pre-order system, combined with AI-supported data, ensures efficient food loading and reduces uneaten meals. This initiative is part of Emirates’ broader digital enhancements, including online check-in, digital boarding passes, and personalized inflight entertainment options.
