Italy’s ITA Airways Launches Non-Stop Flights Between Dubai and Rome

ITA Airways has officially launched its inaugural route to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a non-stop flight connecting Dubai to Rome Fiumicino. This new service will operate daily, enhancing travel options between the two cities.

The direct flights depart Dubai at 01:50, arriving in Rome at 06:00. For the return journey, flights leave Rome Fiumicino at 10:40 and arrive back in Dubai at 19:50 (local time).

To celebrate the launch of this route, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Dubai International Airport (DXB) Arrivals. Notable attendees included Pierfrancesco Carino, Vice President of International Sales at ITA Airways; Benedetto Mencaroni Poiani, Regional Manager for Asia, the Middle East, and Africa at ITA Airways; Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE; and Robert Whitehouse, Vice President of Research at Dubai Airports.

Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy in the UAE, emphasized the importance of this new connection, stating, “The continuous growth of Italian nationals living in the UAE, significant touristic flows in both directions, and the expansion of Italian exports to the prosperous Gulf market make this connection between Rome and Dubai a timely and forward-thinking decision.”

The new route will be serviced by the Airbus A321neo, the first narrow-body aircraft in ITA Airways’ fleet configured with three classes: Business Class (12 seats), Premium Economy (12 seats), and Economy (141 seats).
