The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced extended operating hours for the Dubai Metro to accommodate the upcoming peak travel period. The Metro will now run from 5am to 2am until Saturday, August 24, and from 8am to 2am on Sunday, August 25.
This announcement comes as Dubai International Airport (DXB), the world’s busiest for international travel, prepares to welcome 3.43 million passengers over the next 13 days, as residents return from their summer holidays. Dubai Airports has forecasted over half a million travelers between August 31 and September 1, with September 1 expected to be the busiest day, accommodating 291,000 passengers.
