Emirates airline is cautioning passengers traveling through Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB) about potential holiday travel congestion. With an expected daily surge of nearly 75,000 travelers in December, passengers are advised to allow extra time, arrive at least three hours before departure, and factor in possible traffic delays.
To expedite the process, online check-in is recommended, available up to 48 hours before the flight through the Emirates app. Physical check-in at the airport can be done 24 hours in advance. For a contactless experience, passengers are encouraged to use self-check-in and bag-drop kiosks.
Luggage drop-off is possible 24 hours before departure, and a new check-in center at ICD Brookfield Place in DIFC allows customers to check in and drop off luggage in advance. To streamline the boarding process, passengers should ensure they reach their boarding gate on time, as gates open 90 minutes before departure, boarding starts 45 minutes before the flight, and gates close 20 minutes before departure.
