Dubai to Launch Tourist Visa Applications on Visit Dubai

Howdy, Staff Reporter

Dubai is set to make travel planning easier for international visitors by introducing tourist visa applications through Visit Dubai, the emirate’s official tourism website. Announced by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on November 1, 2026, the new service will allow travellers to apply for single-entry and multiple-entry tourist visas directly through the platform. The service is expected to launch this month, with additional visa categories planned for the future.

The new facility will bring visa applications together with the other services available on Visit Dubai, including attraction bookings, event listings and holiday planning. A dedicated visa information section is already available, providing details of visa categories, application fees, required documents and processing times. According to the website, a 30-day single-entry tourist visa starts at Dh200, excluding VAT, with applications typically processed within three working days.

What Does the New Visa Service Mean for Tourists?

Currently, travellers who require a pre-arranged UAE tourist visa can apply through existing government channels, authorised travel agencies and airlines such as Emirates and flydubai. The new initiative will introduce Visit Dubai as an additional application channel, making it easier for visitors to access visa services while planning their trip.

The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) will continue to review applications and issue visas. Further details about the application process and launch of the service are expected to be announced soon.

Tourist Visa Categories Available

According to the Visit Dubai website, the following tourist visa categories are currently listed:

  • 30-Day Single-Entry Visa
  • 60-Day Single-Entry Visa
  • 30-Day Multiple-Entry Visa
  • 60-Day Multiple-Entry Visa
  • Five-Year Multiple-Entry Visa

Citizens of more than 80 countries are eligible for a visa on arrival in Dubai. GCC nationals can enter the UAE without a visa, while GCC residents can apply for an e-visa.

Dubai Introduces Dubai Access Club

Alongside the new visa initiative, Dubai has also announced the Dubai Access Club, an invitation-only membership programme designed for repeat visitors. Members will receive exclusive benefits and experiences across the city, encouraging tourists to return and explore more of Dubai.

Both initiatives form part of Dubai’s efforts to strengthen its tourism sector and make the visitor experience more seamless through integrated digital services.
