Dubai International Airport Ranked World’s Second Best Transit Airport

Dubai International Airport (DXB) has been ranked as the world’s second-best transit airport for 2026, further strengthening its reputation as one of the leading aviation hubs globally. The ranking comes from a recent study conducted by British airport consultancy Airport Parking and Hotels.

Dubai’s strong performance was attributed to its strategic location connecting Europe, Asia, and Africa, making it a preferred transit point for millions of international travellers each year. The airport also offers a world-class transit experience with premium lounges, extensive duty-free shopping, diverse dining options, and round-the-clock hotel and relaxation facilities.

Singapore Changi Airport secured the top position in the global ranking, while Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in the United States placed third. Japan’s Haneda Airport and South Korea’s Incheon Airport completed the top five.

The recognition highlights how modern transit airports have evolved beyond simple stopover points into destinations that offer comfort, entertainment, and convenience for travellers. Dubai International Airport continues to set global standards by delivering seamless connectivity and exceptional passenger experiences.
