DXB Welcomes 23.4 Million Guests in Q1 2025, Setting New Records

Dubai International Airport (DXB) continues to set global benchmarks, welcoming 23.4 million guests in the first quarter of 2025. This marks a 1.5% rise compared to Q1 2024, despite last year’s record highs, reinforcing DXB’s status as the world’s busiest international airport.

January alone saw 8.5 million travellers—the highest monthly traffic in DXB’s history—thanks to Dubai’s growing appeal and the airport’s smooth operations.

India remained the top destination with 3 million passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia, the UK, Pakistan, the US, and Germany. London led at the city level with 935,000 guests. Popular leisure routes saw big jumps, with traffic to the Czech Republic up 30.6%, Vietnam 28.6%, and Spain 20.2%.

Behind the numbers is a strong team effort. Notable moments included the Lost and Found team quickly recovering a bag with AED 102,000, and immigration officer Abdullah Al Baloushi’s kind act of helping a family say goodbye—both praised widely, including by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
