Emirates, the UAE carrier, has announced that its First Class Lounge located at Concourse B in Dubai International Airport (DXB) is currently undergoing refurbishment. As a result, some meals will not be available for passengers during this period.
The lounge, which serves first-class passengers flying with the airline, is undergoing transformation to enhance the passenger experience. However, Emirates has acknowledged that this process may cause some inconvenience, including the unavailability of certain meals and potential noise disturbance.
To mitigate any inconvenience caused by the refurbishment, Emirates has provided alternatives for passengers. They can continue to use the lounge facilities at Concourse A or Concourse C, where the full lounge experience will be available.
The First Class Lounge amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, spa treatments, direct boarding, business center facilities, and quiet areas for travelers. Access to the lounge is complimentary for customers flying in First Class and Emirates Skywards Platinum members. For those not eligible for complimentary entry, access to the lounges in Dubai and selected lounges worldwide can be purchased.
Emirates has also implemented contactless facial recognition for entry into the airport lounge at Concourse B, offering a convenient and efficient experience for travelers. Passengers can register for a biometric airport path during check-in with just a quick photo.
Despite the ongoing refurbishment, Emirates continues to operate its extensive flight network, serving 490 flights daily and providing an impressive 215,000 meals every day across the globe. This vast operation involves 1,400 chefs who work at the Emirates Flight Catering Facility in Dubai and partner caterers worldwide.
