On Valentine’s Day, NASA scientist Shane Kimbrough, who was approximately 350km away from Earth at the International Space Station (ISS), shared a breathtaking image of Dubai’s Love Lake that he captured from space.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, first shared the lake’s image in 2018, which has since become quite popular among residents.
While swimming is prohibited, visitors can still walk along the shallow parts of the lake and enjoy the greenery, sometimes spotting swans. The lake is also an ideal place for strolling, jogging, and barbecuing in designated areas. It is open 24 hours a day and free to enter.
