Dubai Garden Glow is back for its 5th season at Zabeel Park

Now the weather has finally started to cool down in Dubai, we can venture out of our air-conditioned sanctuaries and start experiencing all of the amazing outdoor attractions that the city has to offer.

One of those very attractions is the much-loved Dubai Garden Glow, a mesmerising light display that is an absolute Dubai must-see. After a summer hiatus, they’ve just reopened for their fifth season and we’re already excited.

Located at Zabeel Park, it’s open from 4pm to 11pm, Saturday to Thursday and 4pm to midnight on Fridays. Tickets are priced from Dhs65 and children under the age of three will go free.

Topically, this year’s theme is ‘Back to Nature’, featuring pretty wildlife displays. In line with this theme, they’re also focusing on sustainability, using energy-saving lightbulbs and recycled materials to create the displays.

There are also ten themed zones, which include Panda Paradise, Candy Land and an Arabic section with colourful camel structures.

As well as the glow garden, the impressive Dinosaur park will also be back, with realistic, animatronic versions of pre-historic dinosaurs that might just have you feeling like you’ve stepped straight into Jurassic Park.

The Ice Park will also open once again (there will be an additional cost for access to this) where you’ll don a big puffa and probably an open mouth at the incredible carved ice sculptures, with a model of the Burj Al Arab, Pegasus and life-sized polar bears to gaze at.

It’s the perfect way to spend a relaxed evening if you’re looking for an alternative to bars and nightclubs or somewhere to take the kids for a fun-filled family day out.
