If your idea of beating the heat is slipping and sliding your way around a waterpark and dwelling in cold waters for as long as the sun sits in the sky (and not spending much money while you’re at it), then we’ve got just the ticket. One of the biggest waterparks in the city, Laguna Waterpark, is gearing up for a weekend of slashed prices and something a little bit extra.
On Friday June 28 and Saturday 29, the waterpark at La Mer will be cutting its rates between 5pm and 10pm to just Dhs49 per person, down from the online price of Dhs99 and the on-the-door rates of some Dhs125. The Kabayan Weekend is dedicating itself to all things Filipino for the weekend, with live karaoke and a DJ, plus a bunch of traditional dishes on offer like pancit, adabo and halo halo.
